Meet the team

Tiera (Owner/Director) boasts a wealth of experience working with children across various capacities. She earned her degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) from Chico State in 2016, which encompassed multiple courses focused on child development and special education. Following her graduation, Tiera dedicated herself to early intervention work with children on the autism spectrum. With years of expertise in the field, she has consistently demonstrated her passion for supporting children in need and has served as a foster parent for the past eight years. As a mother of four sons, ranging in age from 5 to 21, she deeply understands the significance of creating the right environment for every child. Tiera looks forward to embarking on this new journey with her business partner and husband, Brian, as well as her assistant, Jessica.

Brian Frison (Partner), has worked with our community helping others through experience with working with individuals with developmental disabilities and kiddos through in home interventions who present with autism. Currently he holds a position as a senior service coordinator for Far Northern Regional center and his passion and commitment shows through the many families he has cared for in Butte County. Brian is very excited for this new adventure with his wife and family, and plans to be supportive and positive husband.

Hello, my name is Jessica (Teacher assistant). Over the past few years, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with children of all ages and adults with developmental disabilities. For more than two years, I’ve served as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing one-on-one therapy to children with autism and other special needs. This role has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and truly understanding each child’s unique needs. I’ve had the privilege of working in various settings, including homes, clinics, and schools, allowing me to adapt and thrive in different environments. Currently, I’m pursuing a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, combining my love for health and wellness with my dedication to helping others.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy baking, hiking, and spending time with my seventeen nieces and nephews. I am fluent in Spanish and appreciate the opportunity to connect with and support our diverse community. I’m excited to be part of the caring and inclusive team at Cheerful Chipmunks!
